Greengrocer is an importer, packager, and supplier of high quality products to the retailers and wholesalers of Canada. It’s a family business that has been run by the Polito family for generations.

The family was first introduced to produce at the turn of the 20th century by Giuseppe Polito who began selling fruit on the streets of Toronto shortly after his arrival in Canada. He took pride in providing Canadians with fresh and well-priced produce and eventually opened up a grocery store in the city. The sale of produce was so successful that Giuseppe decided to transition from retail to wholesale, hoping to supply Canadians with more fresh products.
